watches/not/gp: Box Play Part 3: Jaeger-LeCoultre

In our third iteration of Box Play, let’s look at Jaeger-LeCoultre. There are many technical achievements and signature vintage watches from JLC, however, for me, the perfect starter is a Memovox. No other manufacture has perfected the wristwatch alarm complication like Jaeger-LeCoultre and a Memovox is a true classic JLC.

Here we have a typical Memovox Box in dark brown with an inner pouch for the warranty card and instructions. The small instructions booklet is really nice. Mutli-language and all you need to know on as little space as possible. I’m always amazed how those little things survived the decades.

Inside you can find the Memovox E875, silver dial with JLC Logo at 9. This JLC alarm watch has quickly become one of my favourites. A very cool watch that looks still up-to-date, almost modern. So before we conclude the Box Play, I will have to take out some vintage Girard-Perregaux watch boxes as well, so stay tuned!
