from/my/collection: T.W.O Shot week, Girard-Perregaux Deep Diver 9108

It is Thursday of our T.W.O Shot week at the GP Chronicles and we go funky 70s today. Deep Diver 9108 is an impressive watch with a large cushion shaped case combined with funky dial designs and colours. Ref. 9108 being the 4th generation clearly breaks with its predecessors (Ref. 8867 and 9076) by adding a second crown and instead of a rotating bezel now having a rotating outer ring on the dial operated by the second crown.

Side-by-Side we have two different dial designs. Both designs were available in various colour combinations. The turquoise has those lovely 5 minute numbers while the blue dial has a fluorescent orange/silver ring. As you can see, my blue dial 9108 has had a bit of a rough life, but still has a great charm.

On the 9108 also the backside is quite interesting. With the 9108 we now have a super-compressor case and crowns and all 9108 have the Neptune Trident on the back. Some but not all earlier 8867 Deep Diver had the Trident on the back for the first time.

Stay tuned for 3 more T.W.O shots this week!
