Back to the roaring Sixties with a little vintage gem in yellow gold from Jaeger-LeCoultre. I never thought I would consider watches with a 25 x 25mm case size, but don’t be mistaken, this is not a Ladies watch. In the 1960s a round watch with 37 mm would be considered huge, while 33-34 mm was most common for dress watches.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre 1926 as a square watch even with 25 x 25 case size feels larger of course, more like a 31-32 mm round watch. However, Ref. 1926 is somewhat special. You have this wonderful vertical machine turned gold case with a wide bezel and a dial that picks up the same vertical pattern in a lighter gold colour. With that design, it feels very right-sized with that wonderful vintage feel on the wrist.
