In my last post, I introduced the two new versions of the Laureato 38mm, Ref 81005. Let’s jump back 29 years to 1995 to the predecessor of the modern Laureato, the Laureato 8010. It was the first Laureato with a mechanical self-winding movement, with the back then still very new Caliber GP 3100. The heritage is clearly visible till today with some details evolving over time. The bezel was thinner and polished back then and there was no large “GP” on the dial, instead a simple “12” and overall the watch was significantly thinner.
A true classic and collectible neo-vintage Girard-Perregaux.
