wristshot: Girard-Perregaux Alarm 9490

Wristshot, 23rd June: Time to enjoy some vintage GP Alarm in the sun, like the blue dial Girard-Perregaux 9490. A manual wind alarm with an A. Schild movement and date mechanism. The cushion-shape case is quite unique. It appears quite small on the wrist compared to some other bulky 70s watches. The blue dial has a vertical pattern. The 9490 is also a GP alarm without the typical rotating alarm disc and arched window, instead using an arrow hand for alarm setting. A charming little watch.
