Back to the funky 70s with a quick/peak at the GP LED Casquette. A true design icon and probably THE legendary LED watch. Born in 1976, GP was once again at the forefront of innovation with the Casquette LED. Today we have a quick/peek at the Makrolon version. Makrolon is a hardened plastic that many years later was also used in CDs as base material. It is light and durable, okay it’s plastic.
when selected, running seconds remain lit up for a while
Gladly there is a choice with steel case and bracelet as well, but for me, the Makrolon fits better due to the bracelet and clasp design. The 9939 RA has caliber 396 which was the latest caliber with a 24 hour display but no longer showing the weekday. I guess memory capacity was very limited these days.
