news: Introducing the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Light

23-January: Girard-Perregaux has now officially released the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Light which was shown first time a few months back at the Dubai Watch Week end November to the public. Based on the Laureato Absolute case, the Light features the known skeleton caliber we have seen before on the 1966 and the Laureato now combined with a transparent sapphire Laureato Absolute case.

Limited to 88 pieces this is now officially going on sale. Judging from the photos, it’s an even more modern interpretation of the classic 1970s Laureato design. I’m sure this watch will find its admirers. Personally for me it would be a bit too much bling and out of the traditional line of GP watches, but then I’m an old dude.
