Wristshot, 16th October: Travelling this week with a vintage Girard-Perregaux Gyrodate 9080 B. A superb vintage watch from the late 1960s with a twist. It features a rotating bezel to provide a day-date calendar display for an entire month. On the outer ring of the dial, you have a 5 week display of day of week: M T W T F S S and on the bezel the date from 1 to 31. Simply turn the bezel so the 1, the first of the month aligns with the correct day and then you can read along the bezel the matching day to the date. A simple yet genius display, and with that a really cool looking vintage watch.
