Part 2 of Gyromatic week features a 1960s Gyromatic with Caliber 32. The “2” at the end makes this again a Caliber with date mechanism. Ref. 7850 comes in a classic 60s steel case, somewhere in between attached lugs and a C-shape case. What is however most out of the ordinary is the dial.
A six sector cross hair dial with the brand name placed opposite the date window at 9. It also features “39 Jewels” on the dial but in addition has a company-branding, the FireStone tire company. I have not seen many GPs with company branding on the dial, but this is one of them and I also think one of the nicest.
