The Sea Hawk line is one of the longest running models within the Girard-Perregaux collection. Going back to the 1940s, let’s have a quick peek at the 1960s Sea Hawk 7901 with small seconds.

A classic no nonsense time-only watch of which I own one with silver sunburst dial and one with a linen dial, that has put on a nice yellowish patina.

The vintage Sea Hawks have been traditionally manual wind and would be more of a classic dress watch than being a sports or diving watch. In the 1960s, Girard-Perregaux was covering the Diver theme with its Deep Diver watches.
Since the late 1980s, the Sea Hawk has been coming back to the collection as a professional diving watch.
