A quick wristshot after a very busy week of one of my favourite References, the 2550, aka Vintage 1994. As the name suggests released in 1994 modelled after a vintage tank GP from the 1940s. One of the most complex case designs and with a very special dome-shaped plexi. A limited edition of 203 pieces marking the 203rd anniversary of GP since 1791.
On photo you have the pink gold case, of which 50 pieces were made with a silver dial. Another 50 pieces were done in white gold and 100 in yellow gold. That leaves 3 missing pieces that had a platinum case. While I succeeded getting yellow, pink and white gold into my collection, I will likely never be able to complete it with a platinum version. The 3 platinum watches I understand were gifted from Gino Macaluso to close friends.
