Is this the perfect summer watch? Bracelet for hot humid days. Water resistant for a swim. Colourful for summer mood. It certainly ticks a lot of boxes for the perfect summer watch. The coral red dial was not long in production which makes it relatively rare and Reference 126000 has the classic 36mm case diameter, for me the perfect size for a time-only Rolex OP.
In general, it is a very photogenic watch too. The red dial, which is not pure red, more a mix between red and dark orange, really pops out. It was exactly this that triggered me to hunt this model. As usual with popular steel Rolex models, it is not possible to walk just into a Rolex boutique and pick one up from the shelf, but with some patience I succeeded.

Maybe a word about comfort. The bracelet in my view is really perfect. Satin-finish without some of the modern Rolex bling, very smooth on the skin and very flexible. The clasp works very well even there is no extra lock mechanism. And then there is the ingenious micro-adjustment that gives just the perfect length to adjust with a very simple click within the clasp. Why can other manufacturers not come up with the same?
