quick/peek: Girard-Perregaux Richeville Chronograph 2710

Today we relook at a Reference that is very important to me in my watch collecting. The Girard-Perregaux Richeville Chronograph was the very first GP I bought back in 1997 and was only my second watch, I mean real watch, I ever bought. Since then, the Richeville Chronograph in Tonneau case has been one of my favourite watches.

In the 1990s, GP had two Richeville Chronograph references in the catalogue, the 2750 with automatic winding and the 2710 with manual winding caliber. Both were introduced almost at the same time, so you could wonder why they had 2 different movements for very similar watches. The 2710 manual wind is a bit smaller, thinner and has round pushers while the automatic 2750 comes with triangular pushers. I like both versions equally, but I also think that that 2710 with blue dial stands out from the various dial and case versions. The blue is just right and can glow from very blue to be subtle at almost black depending on light.
