wristshot: A. Lange & Söhne, Lange 1, 101.031

We all love summer, at least I do and summer is over and now we are heading towards winter again. However, once in a while you have those lovely warm and sunny autumn days, colourful leaves and a very special light. So let’s get out on such days and take some wristshots.

The A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 is an icon of modern watchmaking, the rebirth of a German brand after the fall of the iron curtain – what a story. With vision and courage and a lot of passion for watchmaking, they created something new and timeless, the Lange 1. What makes the Lange 1 so special? The split display of functions for time, seconds, power-reserve and date? Or the iconic large date double window? Maybe the double-barrel and the date-set pusher? The German silver movement with it’s tribute to the pocket watch era? Or reviving a run-down industry in former East Germany? I think it is all together and the outcome is perfection!
