I had thought that I had pretty much concluded my collection of C-Shaped Chronometer HFs with Reference numbers 8795 or 9086. I had a good mix of blue, black and silver dials, but yes, there was one dial version I really wanted but I missed on the 8795.
I had another dial version in steel of the 8795 and the wanted dial version in a yellow gold 8795, so really no immediate need to find that dial in a steel case. But then, when one appeared for sale, I couldn’t resist, so here we go.
While I have grown much more fond of gold watches lately, I must admit that the C-Shape Chronometers appeal more to me in steel. The dial has a fine vertical brush and ebony inserts in the main indexes. Strong creamy tritium dots complete the vintage look. A nice little addition to my collection.
