quick/peek: Latest catch Girard-Perregaux Gyromatic 7373 black dial

Let’s have a quick/peek at my latest catch, an early Gyromatic from the late 1950s, Ref 7373 with a marvellous black dial and gilt indexes and hands. A very classic design in a good size 35mm case, no date and a lot of fine little details.

Such as the chamfered lugs or (at least for GP) the unusual lug size of 19mm. But the best part here is the black dial. It’s a gloss black dial with applied gilt indexes, applied “39 Jewels” and gilt hands. I really like the combination of steel case, black dial with gilt indexes.

And of course, a 7373 never comes alone, so here is the new addition among the two others from my collection. Now, if I can find a solid gold 7373 with an unpolished case, I would be in heaven.

On the wrist it is a very classic vintage look and an easy to wear, no worries watch. Starting with vintage GP can be easy and does not need to be expensive.
